Lower Level Living Room Remodel

There was a second living room in the basement. It was in really bad shape with old carpet, bad paneling, a drop ceiling that was extremely old, an outdated looking fire place, old door, a rotted window, and more.

Here's the pics from move in day:
 The octagon window was the one that was crumbling.

The weird cedar built in ceiling overhand never made any sense to me. The brick was so dark! Made it feel like a cave, par for the course for the spaces in this house. The fan was really outdated.

I gutted everything down to the studs and concrete. That includes the ceiling!

After that, it all had to be put back together! New drywall, ceiling, light, electrical plugs and switches, tidying up all the random wires in the ceiling, replacing bad insulation, tiling the floor, and painting the brick.
